Hi. My name is Roger and today I’d like to talk to you about security solutions for small and medium business and not-for-profit organizations.
Security solutions for SMEs is something that is usually left out of the equation when you’re talking about business plans, when you’re talking about board meetings, when you’re talking about CEOs and CIOs because they think it is an IT problem.
Now, it is no longer an IT problem. Security for a business is a whole of business objective. You can put all of the things in places, an IT manager and someone’s got crappy passwords and they are into the system. And those crappy passwords usually don’t come from the workforce. They come from the CEOs and the board members because they are too busy to have complicated passwords.
But going forward, as technology and small business has a requirement to use technology to protect themselves, that technology is getting more and more complex. And by being more and more complex you need to have better and better training. if you haven’t got that better training then if you’re using systems from five years ago on today’s systems [Indiscernible 00:01:26].
And that’s just one of the things about technology going forward. The technologists, the people you hire at IT and who are protecting your business, they know that they need to get out there and do courses on the new technology coming forth. Because not only is the technology more complicated but it does more.
And because it does more, you have to know what it does to make sure it’s protecting your business. Now, small business and medium business, they had connected to the internet just on background noise, is getting scanned ten times on a — just in background noise.
